FREEMARK ABBEY Merlot 2007 Napa Valley
The
color is deep, dark ruby with reddish hues, quite opaque. The aroma is rich
in dark cherry, plum and boysenberry, with aromatic cedar, juniper berry,
vanilla and milk chocolate. The palate has bright cherry fruit and Santa
Rosa plum, which lingers with great balance of acidity and fruit. The
tannins are very soft and velvety.

FREEMARK ABBEY Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
2000 Ruby color, with an inviting nose of black cherry, blackberry, black currant, and mushrooms, plus spicy hints of Anaheim chili. Distinctive cherry plum and coffee flavors mingle, giving a pleasant acid balance with medium tannins, and a crisp satisfying finish.
2002 Deep ruby hue with appealing aromas of dark cherry, plum, juniper berry mushroom and sage. The bouquet from aging in oak barrel adds a complexity and spiciness of aromatic cedar, cinnamon, clove, vanilla and cracked walnut. Abundant fruit-forward flavors, reminiscent of dried cherry compote, are coupled with balanced tannins, leaving a pleasantly long finish. The wine, while nicely balanced for drinking in the near term, has a good acid structure that will support aging in the cellar.
2006 The appearance is opaque dark red with ruby hues. The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon shows aromas of dark cherry, blackberry syrup, bruleed sugar and aromatic cedar. The integration of oak adds hints of walnut oil, cinnamon and clove. Powerful, yet elegantly balanced, the flavors of blueberry, black currant, mint, cedar, and full cherry-berry notes lead into a fleshy mid-palate, over a bed of resolved tannins. This wine is full-flavored from start to finish, with a very long lingering fruitfulness dusted with cocoa. |

FREEMARK ABBEY Bosche Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Napa Valley The color of this wine is very dark ruby. The aroma has layers of depth, hinting of dark cherry, black currant, blackberry and cassis. These forward fruit components in the aroma are further complexed with a hint of juniper berry and mincemeat pie. The bouquet is reminiscent of dark chocolate, cedar, cinnamon, and clove. With flavor that is a quite pleasant dark cherry dominance, the finish is very long and complimented by mature, smooth tannins. |
