BERINGER CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2005

KNIGHTS VALLEY

Blended the lots of Cabernet Sauvignon to highlight Knights Valley’s characteristically bright black cherry fruit. The wine also has toasty oak, vanilla, cedar and smoky aromas accented by a pretty background of pink peppercorn, cocoa and mint. Small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah were added for additional complexity. A full mouth of sweet, zesty and rich black fruit is supported by nice bright acidity and ripe tannins.

BERINGER CHARDONNAY 2005

NAPA VALLEY

"The delicious rich fruit and toasty oak notes are beautifully integrated-you can’t tell where one component begins or ends because it has such good balance. Bright and lively, apple, pear, pineapple and citrus aromas are surrounded by sweet vanilla and nutty aromas. These characteristics lead into a full mouth of caramel-apple and tropical fruit flavors with a cohesive body that carries everything into a long, luscious finish. A quintessential Napa Valley Chardonnay." -Laurie Hook, Winemaker

BERINGER CHARDONNAY 2008

NAPA VALLEY

Gamble Ranch makes up a third of the 2008 Napa Valley Chardonnay, accounting for the wine’s luscious tropical flavors. Our Stanly Ranch vineyard in Carneros is also a large component of the blend, which added bright citrus notes and a lovely minerality. Flavors of roasted pineapple, ripe apples and lemon meringue are accented by aromas of vanilla and sweet citrus. The wine’s bright citrus notes and nice acid balance are an ideal counterpoint to its rich, honeyed fruit flavors.”

Ripe fruit flavors from the start, makes this wine charming and quite accessible. Aromas of blueberries and pink pepper are followed by flavors of cranberry and sun-ripened strawberries. BERINGER PRIVATE RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2003

NAPA VALLEY

“Dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by a big, sweet nose of smoked meats, black currant jam, chocolate, pain grille, and espresso roast. Rich, full-bodied, and deep with silky tannin and loads of length and concentration, it should drink well for 15-20 years.”

Rated 92, Robert Parker Jr.,

BERINGER PRIVATE RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2005, 375ML

NAPA VALLEY

With Cabernet of this quality, the winemaking team believes in taking a minimalist approach to winemaking. Vinifying the fruit from each vineyard separately, Ed and Laurie used tailored pump-over techniques for optimal extraction, and then aged the wines in hand-selected, custom-toasted barrels of new French Nevers oak. They then aged the lots separately for just under two years before selecting the blend  one of exceptional depth, complexity and elegance.  The final blend has aromas of Bing cherries, cocoa, cedar, allspice and mint. Generous cherry, blackberry and plum flavors are complemented by velvety tannins, resulting in a superbly long and elegant finish.

- Laurie Hook, Beringer Vineyards, Winemaker
